About the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the legal authority for CCAT. As a Director,
the member acts in a position of trust for the community, and is responsible
for the effective governance of the organization.

Time and Financial Requirements
- CCAT maintains an active-working Board supplemented by a contracted Executive Director.
- Directors are expected to volunteer their time and to actively engage themselves in the work of the Board and other CCAT activities.
- Depending on the position held, Directors can spend as little as four or as much as 10 hours per month on Committee or Board activities.
- There is no direct cost to be a Director. Directors however, are required to be CCAT members and should not expect any remuneration for personal time, meals or travel expense, etc. spent on CCAT activities.
Requirements of Director at Large include:
- Member in good standing.
- Commitment to the work of CCAT.
- Knowledge and skills in one or more areas of Board governance: policy, finance, programs, and personnel.
- Willingness to serve on Committees.
- Attendance at Board and Committees meetings.
- Attendance at Annual General Meetings.
- Attendance at membership meetings.
- Support of special events.
- Leadership to the Advanced Technology Community.
Term
- Directors are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. Directors serve for a maximum eight years.
- Directors may be released from their obligations as Directors by resigning or according to the CCAT by-laws, their term as Director
will expire automatically at the Annual General Meeting concluding the eight year of their election.
