Taking Products from Conception to Profitability

The Calgary Council for Advanced Technology is presenting an enlightening evening mixer event featuring a presentation by Robin Winsor, President and CEO of Cybera, an Alberta organization known for its excellence in research and development in the field of cyberinfrastructure. The topic of commercialization is extremely relevant for anyone who has created a new product or process, but does not know how to make their invention a profitable reality.

Mr. Winsor is a Calgary entrepreneur who knows what it takes to bring a concept from R&D, to prototypes and patents, and turn it into an award-winning company worth over $300 million. He founded Imaging Dynamics to commercialize his 1991 invention – the world’s first direct digital x-ray system. Windsor will share the lessons learned from this experience and his expertise in evaluating and directing technology start-ups.
