Collection of personal information

Calgary Council for Advanced Technology (CCAT) collects and uses personal information that is collected from users when they register for an event.

We collect personal information for payment and registration purposes. As soon as someone registers for an event, they are asked to “opt in” to become a member of CCAT. As a member, CCAT uses their information to send out information about upcoming events on a regular basis.

If someone does not want CCAT to use their information, they may choose to not “opt in” to be a member.

All data is kept confidential and is not shared by any parties outside of CCAT. We may, from time to time, contact members directly by email or telephone in order to promote events and/or survey members about our events.
